Union Chapel
Bullet PR has been appointed by Union Chapel, London’s award winning arts venue and social enterprise, to deliver a PR campaign that celebrates the history and heritage of the historic venue as they celebrate their 30th anniversary.
Housed in a landmark London church in North London, some of the world’s most iconic artists, including Amy Winehouse, Adele, Noel Gallagher, Elton John, Philip Glass and U2, have graced the Union Chapel stage. Most recently soul singer Celeste played a triumphant 5 nights at the venue as they reopened post pandemic. They also hosted the UK’s first ticketed live-stream event for singer songwriter Laura Marling in 2020, which set the benchmark for many artists, venues and promoters to follow.
The building was designed with music as its primary purpose, the acoustics are unmatched and it has a very special organ, one of only two in the UK, which is the focus for their annual Organ Reframed festival. There is a kind of magic created at Union Chapel when intimate performances take place in this beautiful historic venue.
Most importantly, social enterprise is at the heart of their work. As a charity, Union Chapel cares for and empowers people facing homelessness, crisis and isolation, offering grass roots support coupled with a longer-term approach, supporting people back into work through their Employment Programme.
Union Chapel’s income and upkeep comes from engaging over 100,000 visitors through 250 events annually, enabling them to deliver a community and cultural programme which has transformed the lives of thousands of people.
